About the Product
Sweet cherry (Prunus avium) is a deciduous temperate fruit tree valued for its large, juicy, sweet fruits. It grows best in cool climates with ideal temperatures between 15°C and 25°C and requires winter chilling (below 7°C) for proper flowering and fruit set. In tropical regions like Kerala, cultivation is generally unsuitable in lowlands due to the lack of chilling, though limited success may be possible in cooler high-altitude areas. The tree prefers well-drained, fertile loamy soil and moderate rainfall without excessive humidity during flowering.
