**Daisy**, commonly grown varieties belonging to the Bellis perennis and other ornamental daisy types, is a charming flowering plant known for its bright blooms with a central disc and surrounding white, pink, or colorful petals. In Kerala’s climate, daisies grow best in temperatures between 18°C to 30°C and prefer a slightly cooler environment for abundant flowering. They require full sunlight (at least 5–6 hours daily) and well-drained, fertile soil rich in organic matter. Regular but moderate watering is essential, while waterlogging should be avoided to prevent root diseases. In Kerala conditions, flowering is more prominent during the cooler and post-monsoon months. With proper pinching and occasional pruning, daisies grow bushier and produce more blooms, making them ideal for pots, borders, terrace gardens, and decorative landscaping.
