About the Product
Jalpai fruit (Indian olive) comes from the tree Elaeocarpus serratus and is valued for its sour to mildly tangy flesh, commonly used in pickles and traditional preparations. It grows well in warm, humid tropical climates with ideal ambient temperatures of 20 °C to 35 °C and moderate to high humidity. The tree prefers 1500–3000 mm of annual rainfall, well-drained loamy soils, and partial to full sunlight, while tolerating brief dry periods once established. Regions like Kerala, with their humid monsoon climate and ample rainfall, provide suitable conditions for healthy growth and fruiting
