Lawn pearl grass (commonly used as a soft ground-cover lawn such as Dichondra repens) is a low-growing plant that forms a dense, carpet-like green surface suitable for gardens and landscaping. It grows best in warm climates with temperatures around 24–30 °C and can tolerate roughly 18–35 °C. The plant prefers well-drained soil, moderate watering, and partial to full sunlight. Tropical regions like Kerala provide ideal conditions due to warm temperatures, humidity, and regular rainfall, though good drainage is important during heavy monsoon periods.
