About the Product

Longan ‘Diamond River’ (Dimocarpus longan) is an improved variety of longan known for its sweet, translucent flesh and early bearing habit. It grows well in warm tropical climates like Kerala, with ideal temperatures between 20°C and 35°C. The tree prefers moderate to high humidity, annual rainfall of about 1200–2500 mm, and well-drained sandy loam soil. It requires full sunlight for good flowering and fruiting and cannot tolerate frost or prolonged waterlogging, making Kerala’s warm monsoon climate suitable for its cultivation.
