Banganapally mango (Mangifera indica var. Banganapally) is a popular tropical mango variety known for its sweet, fiberless, and aromatic fruits with a bright yellow skin. It grows well in warm tropical climates like Kerala, with ideal temperatures between 24°C and 32°C. The tree thrives in moderate to high humidity, well-drained fertile soil, and annual rainfall of 750–2000 mm. It requires full sunlight for good flowering and fruiting and is sensitive to frost and waterlogged conditions, making Kerala’s monsoon climate suitable for its cultivation.
