Himapasand mango (Mangifera indica var. Himapasand), also known as Imam Pasand, is a premium mango variety prized for its large size, rich sweetness, and exceptionally smooth, fiberless pulp. It grows best in warm tropical climates like Kerala, with ideal temperatures between 24°C and 32°C. The tree prefers moderate to high humidity, well-drained fertile soil, and annual rainfall of 750–2000 mm, with a short dry spell before flowering to enhance fruit set. It requires full sunlight and is sensitive to frost and waterlogged conditions, making Kerala’s monsoon climate favorable for its cultivation.
