Miyazaki mango (Mangifera indica var. Miyazaki) is a premium tropical mango variety known for its exceptionally sweet, juicy, and aromatic fruits with smooth, fiberless flesh. It grows well in warm tropical climates like Kerala, with ideal temperatures between 24°C and 32°C. The tree prefers moderate to high humidity, well-drained fertile soil, and annual rainfall of 750–2000 mm, with a short dry period before flowering to promote better fruit set. It requires full sunlight for optimal flowering and fruiting and is sensitive to frost and waterlogging, making Kerala’s tropical monsoon climate suitable for its cultivation.
