Olosapo is a tropical fruit known for its sweet, juicy pulp and attractive round to oval shape, often consumed fresh or in desserts. It grows well in warm regions like Kerala, thriving at temperatures between 24°C and 32°C and tolerating heat up to 36–38°C with proper irrigation. The plant prefers a humid tropical climate with annual rainfall of 1200–2500 mm, well-drained loamy or sandy soils, and full sunlight for optimal flowering and fruiting. Moderate humidity and consistent moisture support healthy growth and good-quality fruit yield.
