Yard Long Bean Badri is a high-yielding variety of Vigna unguiculata subsp. sesquipedalis grown for its very long, tender green pods used as a vegetable. The plants are vigorous climbers that produce continuous harvests and are suitable for tropical cultivation. It grows best at ambient temperatures of about 25–35 °C with warm and moderately humid conditions. In regions like Kerala, the tropical climate with adequate sunlight and moderate rainfall favors its growth, provided the crop is grown in well-drained soil to avoid waterlogging during heavy monsoon periods.
